Abandoned MW2 rifle has one of Warzone’s best TTKs in Season 5
ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 2’s trusty Marksman Rifles has one of the best Times to Kill in Warzone, but it’s been totally abandoned by players.
Even though Modern Warfare 3 guns typically shine brightest in Warzone, weapons from the previous game – Modern Warfare 2 – still have a role to play. The RPK is one of the most problematic guns because of the JAK Cataclysm conversion kit making it a one-shot sniper, but it isn’t alone.
The VEL 46 has also been highlighted by some Warzone experts as being a top SMG option. On top of that, you also have the M4 doing some damage in the meta.
However, there is another gun that is being totally ignored despite having a rapid TTK – and that is the Tempus Torrent. It was highlighted by WhosImmortal as being a “high risk, high reward” weapon in Season 5.
“If you’re a player who can excel with this, you are rewarded greatly by absolutely melting through enemies,” the YouTuber said in his August 5 video. He noted that the Marksman Rifle has a 570 ms TTK in fights up to 40 meters.
“For an MW2 gun, this can be used incredibly effectively as a mid-range option pairing with a sniper, or a better long-range LMG or rifle. This thing can actually if you are comfortable with semi-auto,” he added.

The Warzone guru added that the rifle is completely “slept-on” and not “talked about” but it is “incredibly good at taking out enemies incredibly quickly.”
That assessment is spot on and backed up by WZRanked stats. Over there, the MW2 rifle is the 106th most popular gun, only 10 places off last place.
So, if you are someone who can use semi-auto guns without many complaints, jump on board.
